MAESTRO white bristle brushes are built with the natural curve of bristles turned inwards. Two equally-sized tufts of bristle are set against each other without tension and made to interlock. Properly cleaned after each use the brush will retain this shape even after long use and many washings.
The enormous amount of labour involved in handmaking interlocked brushes led da Vinci to develop a new technology, which enables them to manufacture the artist brushes in a more effective way. The fruit of these efforts is MAESTRO 2 where a perfectly shaped brush-head is implanted deeply into the ferrule, to guarantee enduring elasticity, springiness and longevity.
